Let’s take a look at Teams for a couple of minutes. Lately, we’ve announced that Teams for Education will become faster and consumes fewer resources.

Also, we’ve shown you how to enable the green screen on Teams, as well as how to use Teams’ 3D in-app avatars, just in case you needed such information.

Now, Microsoft is announcing some pretty exciting upcoming features, so we’re about to take a closer look at that as well.

Get ready to really spice up your Teams Meetings

In fact, earlier this week, the Redmond-based tech giant announced a new feature for Teams in a public preview.

And yes, we are talking about the one that lets users create a virtual green screen for better backgrounds in video meetings.

Microsoft has now revealed that it is also working hard, or hardly working, on adding animated backgrounds for Teams Meetings.

This new and interesting feature was added this week to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap website recently, which is why you haven’t see it there until now.

Naturally, it alsooffers various options to enhance meeting experience with creativity and personalization according to their preferences.

This dynamic background feature in Teams Meetings allows users to replace their existing background with a dynamic animation for a more immersive virtual environment.

Don’t get too excited, as this feature is just for Windows desktop and Mac users for now. It will start rolling out for General Availability sometime in May.

Te tech giant also admitted working on a related new feature for companies that sign up for the Teams Rooms Pro license.

With it, admins can upload up to 3 images specifying which goes to the left or right room display and console.

Of course, higher resolution images (minimum of 1280×800 on console and 1920×1080 on displays) in PNG, JPG, JPEG, and BMP formats are supported.

Again, you might now want to get ahead of yourself. this feature is for Teams and Surface devices only and will start rolling out to Teams Rooms Pro subscribers sometime in June 2023.
